Dankie Abel.

Has anyone seen Invictus on Facebook? There are a number of images from the 1995 World Cup finale which you can tag yourself in if you were there. Even Francois Pienaar has tagged himself! Check it out here: http://bit.ly/invictusrugby

Well written Gerald even if not in your tweede language and I have to agree, the idolists are not what love is all about, there is much more to love than just a song, renaissance in SA music should come from within, like the love for God comes from within, and no exchanges are needed for that.

I liked this article, because it calls for a renaissance in South African music, where there is sometimes a vacuum where meaningful lyrics should resound. We need to sing more songs that point people in the right directions, lifting and even challenge the human spirit. And yes, I do agree, not just sing about boys and girls in the throws of infatuation, which often is often nothing more or less than idolatry, where men and woman exchange the worship of God for the worship of each other! Sorry, you lekker Afrikaners, but I was not going to attempt this in my tweede taal!
